JOB VACANCY
Part-time, temporary until the end of March 2011
Position: Administrator
Hours: 10 per week (rota to be agreed)
Location: Jackson House, Second Avenue, Halton Lea (next to the police station)
Salary: £6.80 p/h
Job Description: Duties to include, but not limited to: Typing, filing, record keeping, printing, photocopying. To assist users and members with the facilities in the office and resource centre and any signposting that may be necessary. You will ensure the smooth running of the office and be the first point of contact for the organisation.
The Organisation: The Federation is an umbrella organisation for the affiliated Residents Associations and Groups; The Federation was effective at the take over of housing from the Development Corporation and still provides a focus for a united response to Local Government, Landlords, the Voluntary Sector, Police, the Health Service and other strategic bodies. Residents Associations, members of the community and other voluntary organisations use the Federation as a resource centre, and we house an IT/Training Suite. We also provide a printing and design service for our members and individuals from the public and assist with the setting up of new groups. We outsource our administration to other groups to assist with their running.
Person Specification: The ideal candidate would be a confident, motivated, self-starter with experience in general office administration. Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to use Microsoft Word effectively and efficiently.
